Marcel Guigal selects the WINE Objectives agency to assist in his acquisition of this flagship Châteauneuf-du-Pape property
Firmly rooted in the northern Côtes-du-Rhône, the Guigal group has invested in the prestigious AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where it was until now active solely in a négociant capacity. The WINE Objectives agency assisted the Guigal group in the ultra-confidential negotiations for Domaine de Nalys.
Covering fifty hectares in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Domaine de Nalys has been purchased in its entirety by the Guigal group from Groupama Insurance, who have owned the property ever since they acquired it from the Duffays family in 1975. Having until now been active in the southern Côtes-du-Rhône in a négociant capacity, this major investment marks the arrival of Guigal as wine producers. “Guigal has been creating and selecting wines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1946. It is a natural progression for us to integrate this prestigious historic appellation” commented Marcel Guigal, president of the eponymous company, in a press release.
